Under Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) directories and guidance, we offer a carefully prepared environment and curriculum with which we help each child to realize his or her many individual potentialities (intellectual, social, moral, artistic...), and in so doing create a Joy of Learning. When one experiences joy in the learning process, one becomes a lifelong seeker of knowledge.

In working to develop the innate abilities of each child, we seek to allow the child to pursue a productive course of life, showing his or her natural excellence in the intellectual, social, and moral spheres. In nurturing the growth and development of each child, we strive to develop parental understanding of Montessori principles, parental involvement, an excellent faculty, and an atmosphere of courtesy and respect for individuals, both child and adult.

Through personal contact, cultural studies and outings, we teach our students a wide perspective of the world. While instilling an appreciation of one's own heritage, we model respect for and understanding of people from different cultural, national, and religious backgrounds. When one receives broad exposure and a worldwide perspective, one can better effect justice, equity, and compassion in one's closer communities.

We uphold the principle of contributing by offering a scholarship each year to a student who otherwise would not be able to attend the school, and by periodically sponsoring interested community members for the Montessori training.

Maria Montessori

Montessori schools have proved that children need a cycle of work for which they have been mentally prepared; such intelligent work with interest is not fatiguing
and they should not be arbitrarily cut off from it. Interest is not immediately born,
and if when it has been created, the work is withdrawn, it is like depriving a whetted
appetite of the food that will satisfy it.
